Travel Without a Ticket Discover the World Through Its Food, Culture and Stories — One Destination at a Time

Travel-a-Go-Go Travel’s Global Kitchen Bringing the World We’ve Traveled…to Your Dining Table. What If You Could Travel the World Tonight? There is something extraordinary about travel. We remember the places we see—the architecture, landscapes, beaches, mountains, and famous landmarks. We remember the people we meet. We remember unfamiliar sounds, languages, and traditions. But very often, long after we’ve returned home, we remember something else. We remember what we ate. The pizza from the little restaurant in Naples. The moussaka overlooking the blue waters of Greece. Tacos prepared on a busy street in Mexico. A steaming pan of paella arriving at the table in Spain. A slow-cooked meal accompanied by a glass of wine somewhere in the French countryside. Food has an extraordinary ability to capture a place. An aroma can bring back a memory. A flavor can remind us of a street we once walked. And sometimes, tasting something we’ve never experienced before can make us begin dreaming about a place, we’ve never been. That is the idea behind Travel-a-Go-Go Travel’s Global Kitchen. And it’s why we call this journey… Travel Without a Ticket. 🌎 Every Recipe Has an Address Food doesn’t simply come from a cookbook. It comes from somewhere. Climate determines what can be grown. Geography determines what ingredients are available. History introduces new foods and cooking techniques. Trade brings spices from distant places. Religion and tradition influence what families prepare for celebrations. Economic circumstances turn simple ingredients into beloved comfort foods. And generation after generation, families adapt those dishes until food becomes part of the identity of a place. That’s why Global Kitchen will never simply hand you a recipe and say: “Here’s dinner.” We want to know: Where did it come from? Why did people begin making it? What does it mean to the people who live there? How is it traditionally served? And what would it feel like to sit at a table in the place where that dish became part of the culture? Because once we understand the story… The food tastes a little different. 🍽️ Cuisine Is Culture You Can Taste Think about Italy. Italian cuisine isn’t simply “Italian food.” Travel from Naples to Tuscany, Bologna, Sicily or the Italian Alps and the dishes change dramatically. Why? Because the geography changes. The climate changes. The ingredients change. And the history changes. The same thing happens throughout the world. Mexican cuisine changes from Oaxaca to Puebla to the Yucatán. French cooking changes from Burgundy to Provence, Normandy, and Alsace. Greek island cooking isn’t identical to what you’ll encounter in northern Greece. Spanish cuisine changes dramatically between Valencia, Catalonia, Madrid, Galicia, Andalusia, and the Basque Country. That’s one of the discoveries we’ll continue making together. Sometimes Global Kitchen will visit a new country. And sometimes we’ll return to a country we’ve already explored and go deeper into a particular region, city, or culinary tradition. Because you could spend a lifetime traveling the world through food… And never run out of places to discover. ✈️ So What Does “Travel Without a Ticket” Really Mean? It means you don’t have to wait until your next vacation to experience something new. Maybe Italy isn’t in the budget this year. Maybe the kids are in school. Maybe work is busy. Maybe you’re already planning another trip. Or perhaps you’ve never considered traveling to a particular country at all. That’s okay. Tonight… Your kitchen can take you there. Put on some Italian music. Open a bottle of Italian wine—or pour sparkling water for the kids. Learn how to say buon appetito. Make a traditional dish. Talk about where it came from. Look at photographs of the region. Find it on a map. Imagine sitting at a little table overlooking the Mediterranean. For one evening, you’re doing more than making dinner. You’re experiencing another culture together. No airport. No suitcase. No passport required. That’s Travel Without a Ticket. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Make the World Part of Your Family Table One of my favorite possibilities for Global Kitchen has very little to do with becoming a great cook. It’s about creating curiosity. Imagine allowing your children or grandchildren to choose next week’s destination. Using it as a teaching tool. They find the country on a map. Everyone learns a phrase. You play music from that part of the world. You prepare one of our recipes together. Maybe everybody loves it. Maybe somebody takes one bite and decides they definitely don’t. That’s okay too. Because they tried something new. And perhaps years later, someone sitting around that table will say: “Remember when we made that dish from Greece? I’d really like to go there someday.” That’s how dreams begin. Sometimes with an airplane ticket. Sometimes with a photograph. And sometimes… With dinner. 🍷 Every Week, A New Destination Each week, Travel-a-Go-Go Travel’s Global Kitchen will take you somewhere different. We’ll explore the destination and its culture. We’ll learn about its culinary history. We’ll introduce you to three dishes and give you complete recipes so you can prepare them at home. We’ll talk about presentation and serving traditions. We’ll suggest beverage pairings. We’ll add music to help create the atmosphere. We’ll learn a word or phrase from the local language. We’ll share a quicker version when life doesn’t give you two hours to make dinner. And we’ll explore where you might experience those flavors close to home. Most importantly… We’ll tell you why the food belongs to that place. Because Global Kitchen isn’t simply about learning how to cook something. It’s about discovering where it came from. 🧭 You Don’t Have to Be a Chef Neither do we expect you to be one. Some weeks you’ll make the complete traditional recipe. Some weeks you’ll try the five-minute version. Some weeks you’ll decide you’re much happier letting a restaurant cook it for you. Perfect. The goal isn’t culinary perfection. The goal is discovery. Try something. Taste something. Learn something. Talk about something. And perhaps begin dreaming about somewhere you hadn’t thought about yesterday. ❤️ Food Has

The Way We Travel Is Changing

The destinations and travel trends worth knowing about right now By Gregg Dungan – owner of Travel-a-Go-Go Travel LLC. Travel has always been about discovering somewhere new. But in 2026, something else is happening: we’re becoming more selective about how we travel—and why. The days of trying to squeeze five cities into seven days are giving way to slower itineraries, smaller destinations and experiences that feel more personal. Travelers are looking beyond the obvious. They’re searching for places that offer authenticity, great food, nature, culture and, increasingly, a little breathing room. So, where should you be looking now? — Japan: Go Beyond the Golden Route Japan remains one of the world’s most fascinating destinations. But if you’ve already dreamed of Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka, consider taking the next step. Japan welcomed a record number of international visitors in 2025, and the popularity of its best-known destinations has brought new attention to overtourism. Increasingly, travelers are discovering Japan’s less-visited regions—places where food, tradition and nature can be experienced at a much more relaxed pace. Think Kanazawa, Hokkaido, Kyushu, the Setouchi region or the Japanese Alps. The reward isn’t simply fewer tourists. It’s a different kind of Japan. Travel tip: If you’re planning Japan, build your itinerary around experiences rather than simply cities. A traditional inn, a regional food experience or a small mountain town may become the memory you talk about for years. — Europe: Look Beyond the Famous Names Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Venice and the Greek islands aren’t going anywhere—and there’s a reason they’re popular. But Europe’s enormous tourism growth is creating a new opportunity for travelers: go just a little farther. Major hotel companies are increasingly expanding into smaller European cities and rural areas as travelers search for less-saturated destinations. Tourism is also spreading beyond the traditional Mediterranean hotspots toward inland Spain, northern Italy and smaller Portuguese cities. That means destinations such as Braga, Portugal; Valladolid, Spain; Slovenia; Albania; and lesser-known Italian regions deserve a closer look. The idea isn’t to avoid Europe’s famous destinations. It’s to experience more of Europe. — The Rise of the “Quiet Vacation” Perhaps the most interesting travel trend of 2026 is the desire to get away from the crowds altogether. Travelers are increasingly seeking nature, solitude and destinations that haven’t been overwhelmed by social media popularity. Research into less-crowded destinations shows particularly strong interest in places where visitors can experience a greater sense of space and authenticity. That might mean a small Greek island rather than Santorini. A mountain village instead of a major European capital. A national park instead of another museum queue. Or simply visiting a famous destination during its shoulder season. And there’s a practical advantage: September and October can offer a particularly attractive combination of milder weather, fewer crowds and, in some markets, lower airfares. Sometimes the best time to visit a place is simply when everyone else isn’t there. — Wellness Travel Has Changed Wellness travel used to conjure up images of luxury spas and expensive resorts. Today, it can be something much simpler. A hike through the mountains. A week beside the ocean. A hot spring. A yoga retreat. A quiet hotel surrounded by nature. Or simply a vacation where your phone spends more time in your suitcase. One recent travel survey found that 64% of U.S. travelers planned to participate in a retreat focused on rest, nature or mental clarity. The growing popularity of so-called “calmcations” reflects a larger desire to return home feeling better, rather than simply having seen more. Destinations such as Japan, the Philippines, Iceland, Costa Rica and New Zealand are particularly well suited to this style of travel. — And Don’t Underestimate the Trip Close to Home You don’t always need a passport to have a great adventure. Some of the strongest travel growth right now is happening in smaller American destinations that offer nature, character and a strong sense of place. Here in Texas, Rockport and Wimberley recently appeared among America’s trending destinations, reflecting growing interest in waterfront communities, outdoor experiences and smaller-town getaways. Across the country, travelers are also rediscovering destinations that may have been overlooked simply because they weren’t considered traditional vacation capitals. That’s another trend worth watching: Travelers are beginning to value a destination’s story as much as its famous attractions. — The New Definition of a Great Trip For me, this is the most important change in travel. It’s not necessarily about going farther. It’s about traveling better. Stay three nights instead of one. Eat where the locals eat. Take the scenic route. Visit the small town outside the major city. Learn something about the culture. Leave a little room in the itinerary for the unexpected. And, every once in a while, put the phone away. Because the best travel memories rarely come from rushing from one attraction to another. They come from the unexpected restaurant. The conversation with a local. The little village you weren’t planning to visit. The sunset you happened to catch. That’s where travel becomes more than a vacation. — Where I’d Be Looking Right Now If you’re considering your next trip, these are some of the places and styles of travel I’d have on my radar: 🇯🇵 Japan — Go beyond Tokyo and Kyoto 🇵🇹 Portugal — Slow down and explore beyond Lisbon 🇦🇱 Albania — Mediterranean scenery with a different perspective 🇸🇮 Slovenia — Mountains, wine, food and smaller-scale European travel 🌍 Africa — Safari, conservation and transformative experiences 🇮🇸 Iceland — Nature, wellness and wide-open spaces 🇺🇸 America’s small towns — Discover places closer to home 🌿 Slow travel — Spend more time in fewer places The world hasn’t changed. The way we’re choosing to experience it has. And perhaps that’s a very good thing. — Planning Your Next Journey? The best trip isn’t necessarily the one with the most destinations. It’s the one that’s right for you. Whether you’re looking for a European escape, a once-in-a-lifetime international adventure, a relaxing getaway or somewhere completely new, thoughtful planning can make all the difference. Passport, Visas, ETIAS and EES: What U.S. Travelers Need Before Traveling Overseas

Travel-a-Go-Go Travel knows international travel is exciting, but as of America’s 250 birthday on July 4th, 2026, the most current document rules can feel confusing because every country has its own entry requirements. A valid U.S. passport is usually the foundation, but it may not be the only document a traveler needs. Depending on the destination and the itinerary, travelers may also need a visa, eVisa, electronic travel authorization, vaccination certificate, proof of onward travel, proof of lodging, travel insurance, minor consent documents or special paperwork for medications. This guide explains the documents U.S. travelers should check before going overseas, how those documents relate to a passport, and what Americans need to know about Europe’s Entry/Exit System (EES) and the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS). Last verified: July 4, 2026. Requirements change often. Always confirm final rules with the official government source for each destination and transit country before departure.   Where to start? Start with the passport For most overseas air travel, U.S. citizens need a passport book. A U.S. passport card is useful for certain land and sea travel to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and some Caribbean destinations, but it is not valid for international air travel. Before booking, travelers should check four passport details: Expiration date. Some countries require a passport to be valid for months after the trip ends. For Europe, the U.S. Department of State notes that Schengen entry rules require validity for at least three months beyond the planned departure from the EU, and many travel advisors recommend having six months of validity as a safer buffer. Name match. The passport name should match airline tickets, cruise documents and travel authorizations. A damaged passport can create boarding or entry problems. Blank pages. Some countries require one or more blank visa or entry stamp pages. If a passport is new, renewed, replaced or corrected, travelers must recheck any visa or travel authorization already issued. Many authorizations are tied to a specific passport number. 2. How to apply for or renew a U.S. passport First-time adult passport applicants and adults who do not qualify for renewal generally apply in person at a passport acceptance facility. Eligible adults may be able to renew online or by mail. Current routine U.S. passport processing is listed by the Department of State as 4 to 6 weeks, expedited processing as 2 to 3 weeks, and mailing time is not included in those estimates. A good rule for clients is simple: check the passport as soon as trip planning begins. Apply or renew early enough to allow for processing, mailing, document corrections and visa applications that may require the passport first. 3. Visas, eVisas and electronic travel authorizations A passport identifies the traveler, but it does not automatically give permission to enter every country. Many destinations require an additional approval before travel. The names vary by country: Visa: May be stamped in the passport, issued electronically or issued on arrival depending on the destination. eVisa: A visa applied for online and usually delivered by email or portal. ETA or travel authorization: A pre-travel screening used by countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and, soon, much of Europe through ETIAS. Arrival card or health declaration: A form that may be completed online or on arrival. Travelers should apply only through official government websites or embassy/consulate sources. Third-party sites may be legitimate service providers, but they often charge extra and require sensitive passport information. Sponsored search results can also lead to unofficial pages. 4. Other documents travelers may need worldwide The right document list depends on the destination, route, citizenship, trip purpose and length of stay. Common items include: Proof of onward or return travel. Hotel, cruise, tour or host information. Proof of funds or travel insurance. Vaccination proof, including the International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis, sometimes called the yellow card, for yellow fever requirements. Prescriptions in original labeled containers and a doctor’s letter when appropriate. International Driving Permit and rental car insurance documents when driving abroad. Birth certificate, adoption paperwork, custody orders or notarized consent letter when traveling internationally with minors. Copies of passport, visas, authorizations, insurance, emergency contacts and itinerary stored separately from originals. 5. Europe 2026: EES and ETIAS are not the same thing Two European systems are especially important for U.S. travelers in 2026: EES and ETIAS. EES: the border registration system already in use The Entry/Exit System, or EES, is an automated system for registering non-EU nationals traveling for short stays when they cross the external borders of the 29 European countries using the system. It records passport details, biometric data such as facial image and fingerprints, and entry and exit dates. It replaces manual passport stamping in the countries using EES and helps track the 90-days-in-any-180-days short-stay rule. For Americans, the practical point is this: there is no EES application to complete before travel and no EES fee for the traveler. The process happens at the border. At a first EES border crossing, a traveler may be asked to scan a passport, provide a facial image and provide fingerprints unless exempt. Children under age 12 generally do not provide fingerprints. On later trips, the system may verify existing biometric records, which can be faster. ETIAS: the pre-travel authorization expected in Q4 2026 ETIAS is different. It is a pre-travel authorization for visa-exempt travelers, including U.S. citizens, visiting 30 European countries for short stays. It is expected to start operations in the last quarter of 2026. As of July 4, 2026, the official EU site says no action is required from travelers and applications are not yet open. Once ETIAS begins, travelers will apply online through the official EU ETIAS website or mobile app. Applicants should have their passport, email address and payment card ready. The application fee is listed by EU guidance as EUR 20, with fee exemptions for travelers under 18, travelers over 70 and certain qualifying family members. ETIAS is linked to the passport used in the application and is

Living on a Cruise Ship Full-Time: A Lifestyle More Attainable Than You Think

Introduction For many people, the idea of permanently living on a cruise ship sounds like something reserved for the ultra-wealthy or adventurous travelers documenting life at sea on social media. Endless ocean views, gourmet dining, exciting entertainment, and waking up in a different destination every few days make it seem more like an extended vacation than a practical lifestyle. However, the reality is that full-time cruising has become an increasingly popular option for retirees, travel enthusiasts, and even some remote workers looking to simplify their lives while continuing to explore the world. What once seemed like an unrealistic dream is now a lifestyle that thousands of people successfully embrace every year. Modern cruise ships function much like floating cities, offering comfortable accommodations, restaurants, fitness centers, medical facilities, shopping, entertainment, and organized activities all in one place. Instead of worrying about maintaining a home, paying multiple household bills, or planning separate vacations throughout the year, long-term cruisers combine many of their living expenses into one travel-focused lifestyle. Every voyage provides the opportunity to experience different cultures, cuisines, and destinations while enjoying the consistency of returning to the same cabin and familiar crew after each day ashore. Who Chooses to Live on Cruise Ships? Permanent cruise living attracts a surprisingly diverse group of people. While retirees make up the largest percentage of long-term cruisers, they are far from the only individuals embracing this lifestyle. Some travelers spend months at sea by booking consecutive cruises, while others participate in extended world voyages lasting several hundred days each year. A smaller number even purchase residences aboard specialty residential cruise ships designed specifically for permanent living. Each approach offers a different level of commitment, flexibility, and financial investment. For many, the motivation goes beyond simply traveling. Cruise living offers a simplified lifestyle where everyday responsibilities are reduced, allowing more time to focus on personal interests, meeting new people, and experiencing destinations that might otherwise remain on a travel bucket list. Understanding the Cost of Living at Sea One of the biggest misconceptions about full-time cruising is that it is only affordable for millionaires. In reality, the annual cost varies depending on cabin selection, cruise line, itinerary, and travel style. Interior cabins generally provide the most affordable option, while balcony cabins and suites naturally cost more. Even so, many travelers discover that cruise living can compare surprisingly well with the combined cost of maintaining a traditional home. Most cruise fares include accommodations, meals, housekeeping, utilities, entertainment, and transportation between destinations. Additional expenses such as internet access, specialty dining, shore excursions, gratuities, laundry, travel insurance, and occasional flights should still be included in the overall budget. Careful planning allows many long-term cruisers to enjoy a predictable annual cost while eliminating numerous household expenses. The Benefits of Making the Ocean Your Home Living aboard a cruise ship offers conveniences that are difficult to replicate in traditional housing. Daily housekeeping, freshly prepared meals, organized entertainment, and access to fitness facilities are all available without the responsibilities of home maintenance. Instead of spending weekends cleaning, repairing, or managing household chores, residents can enjoy lectures, live performances, social events, or simply relax while sailing to the next destination. Another significant advantage is the opportunity to travel continuously without constantly packing and unpacking luggage. Cruise passengers can wake up in a different country every few days while still returning to the comfort of the same cabin each evening. Many long-term cruisers also develop lasting friendships with fellow passengers and crew members, creating a welcoming onboard community that makes extended travel feel surprisingly familiar. The Challenges Behind the Lifestyle Despite its many attractions, living on a cruise ship is not without challenges. Cabin space is significantly smaller than most homes, requiring residents to adopt a minimalist lifestyle and carefully organize their belongings. Spending long periods away from family and friends can also become emotionally challenging, especially during holidays and important life events. Practical considerations also require careful planning. Internet service has improved considerably but may still be inconsistent depending on the ship and itinerary. Cruise schedules can change because of weather, port restrictions, or operational decisions, requiring flexibility from long-term travelers. Those booking consecutive cruises must also coordinate flights, hotels, and embarkation schedules between voyages to ensure smooth transitions. Healthcare and Managing Life Beyond the Ship Healthcare is one of the most important considerations for anyone thinking about permanent cruise living. Cruise ships have medical centers capable of treating minor illnesses, injuries, and routine urgent care, but they are not equipped to replace full-service hospitals. Serious medical emergencies may require evacuation or treatment at the nearest port, making comprehensive travel insurance an essential part of long-term cruise planning. Living at sea also does not eliminate responsibilities on land. Most full-time cruisers maintain a legal residential address through family members or professional mail-forwarding services. They continue to manage banking, insurance, driver’s licenses, tax obligations, and voter registration while scheduling annual medical and dental appointments during planned breaks between cruises. Is Full-Time Cruise Living the Right Choice? For healthy retirees and passionate travelers, full-time cruise living can offer an exciting alternative to traditional retirement. In some cases, the overall annual cost is comparable to maintaining a home or even paying for assisted living, particularly when meals, utilities, housekeeping, and entertainment are considered. However, assisted living facilities provide personal care and ongoing medical support that cruise ships cannot replace, making individual health needs an important factor when comparing the two options. Ultimately, living on a cruise ship full-time requires flexibility, financial preparation, and a genuine love of travel. Those who enjoy exploring new destinations, meeting people from around the world, and embracing a simpler lifestyle often find it to be an incredibly rewarding experience. With thoughtful planning and guidance from an experienced travel advisor, what once seemed like an impossible dream can become a practical and unforgettable way of life.

Smooth Sailing Starts Before You Pack: Smart Ways to Save Time, Money, and Stress on Your Next Trip

A great vacation does not start at the airport, the cruise terminal, or the hotel lobby. It starts weeks—or even months—before you leave, when the right planning choices can save you money, protect your schedule, and help you avoid last-minute surprises. One of the easiest ways to travel smarter is to work with a trusted travel advisor or agency. Many travelers assume booking everything themselves is automatically cheaper, but that is not always the case. A good agency may have access to package pricing, group rates, resort credits, cruise promotions, payment plans, and perks you may not find on your own. Just as important, an advisor can help compare the total value of a trip—not just the lowest advertised price. A flight that arrives too late, a hotel far from the port, or a bargain fare with strict change rules can cost more in the long run. Planning ahead is another major money-saver. Airfare, cruise cabins, popular resorts, excursions, and family-friendly rooms often become more limited as departure dates get closer. Booking early gives you more choices and more time to pay toward the trip instead of absorbing the full cost at once. It also gives you time to watch for promotions, review cancellation policies, and decide whether travel insurance makes sense for your plans. Travel documents should be checked before anything is paid in full. For U.S. travelers, domestic flights require an acceptable form of identification at TSA checkpoints, and TSA notes that travelers must be REAL ID compliant or use another acceptable ID, such as a passport, for domestic air travel. International trips may require a passport, visa, vaccination documentation, entry forms, or other destination-specific requirements, so travelers should always review official destination information before departure. Cruise travelers should be especially careful. Some closed-loop cruises may allow certain U.S. citizens to travel with proof of citizenship and government-issued identification, but the U.S. Department of State strongly recommends that all cruise passengers travel with a passport book. The reason is simple: if an emergency requires you to fly home from another country, you generally need a passport book for international air travel. Cruise lines may also have their own document rules, even when government rules allow alternatives. One of the best cruise tips is also one of the simplest: fly in the day before your ship departs. It may mean paying for one hotel night, but that small extra cost can protect the entire vacation. Flight delays, missed connections, weather problems, baggage issues, traffic, and long airport lines can turn a same-day arrival into a very expensive mistake. Arriving a day early gives you breathing room, lets you start the trip rested, and lowers the risk of watching your ship sail away without you. The same rule applies to any major trip with a fixed start time. If you are joining a tour, boarding a river cruise, attending a destination wedding, or catching an international connection, build in extra time. Saving money should never mean cutting the schedule so close that one delay ruins the whole experience. A smart travel plan balances price, timing, documents, and peace of mind. Book early, know what paperwork you need, use expert help when it adds value, and give yourself extra time on the front end. The goal is not just to get away—it is to arrive prepared, relaxed, and ready to enjoy every minute.

Before You Book That Summer Escape: Three Travel Checks to Make This Week

Summer travel is officially in motion, and this is the week to trade daydreaming for smart planning. Airports are getting busier, hurricane season has just begun, and major-event travel is already affecting how people plan trips across North America. The first check is the weather risk, especially for beach, cruise, Caribbean, Gulf Coast, and Atlantic trips. The 2026 Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 through November 30, and NOAA is forecasting a below-normal season overall: 8–14 named storms, 3–6 hurricanes, and 1–3 major hurricanes. That sounds reassuring, but “below-normal” does not mean “no disruption.” One storm can still change flight schedules, ferry service, cruise routes, hotel availability, and road conditions. The smart move is not to avoid warm-weather destinations altogether. It is to book with flexibility. Look for hotels with reasonable cancellation windows, understand your airline’s change policy, and consider travel insurance that covers weather-related delays, cancellations, and medical evacuation. Before departure, check the National Hurricane Center, which is already tracking active Eastern Pacific advisories this week. The second check is the airport experience. TSA signaled a heavy start to the summer season, saying it expected to screen 18.3 million passengers and crew over the May 21–27 holiday travel window, with the agency also preparing for World Cup and America 250-related travel demand. For travelers, that means the old advice still matters: arrive early, keep essentials in your personal item, charge devices before leaving home, and avoid packing anything that could slow you down at security. The third check is destination-specific safety guidance. This matters even for popular places. The U.S. State Department reissued its Mexico advisory on May 29 at Level 2: Exercise Increased Caution, with some areas at higher levels and specific guidance for Americans attending FIFA World Cup 2026 matches. The advisory notes that conditions vary widely by state; for example, Mexico City is listed as Level 2, while Jalisco includes a “reconsider travel” warning and mentions that criminal-group clashes have occurred in tourist areas of Guadalajara. The takeaway for early June travelers is simple: book the trip, but build in breathing room. Flexible reservations, current advisories, weather alerts, and a little airport patience can turn a stressful summer travel week into a smooth one.
